Neighborhood meetings are held on the last Thursday of each month at 6:30pm at the Boys and Girls Club on Shonnard Street. Residents and community partners meet to discuss ways in which to build upon the community's assets and organize community members in order to accomplish collective goals and projects. Currently there are seven committees: Youth Committee, Senior Committe, Green Space Committee, Housing Committee, Safety Committee, Employment Committee and Arts Committee.

MISSION:

Our goal is to get to know each other and to form a working group that can affect policy. Through this meeting and future meetings we will collect ideas and suggestions, and through the Near Westside Initiative engage professionals who can implement, and provide resources toward funding the projects.
