"The Kathy"
The Kathy Goldfarb-Findling Leadership Award.
Kathy Goldfarb-Findling was executive director of the Gifford Foundation from 2000-2010. Upon her retirement the Board established the Kathy Goldfarb-Findling Leadership Award, to be awarded periodically to a not-for-profit professional who best exemplifies Kathy’s approach to leadership:
- to be nimble and creative;
- to encourage lifelong learning;
- to embrace leaps of faith and not fear failure;
- to work “with” not do “for;”
- to fully engage in collaborative approaches and
- to at all times believe passionately in the power of change and personal growth.
An award of $2500 will be available for the personal use of the recipient. They would be free to use this for professional development opportunities, personal needs or just to recharge their batteries. The only restriction is that they may not re-direct their award to their organization.
Nominations accepted starting April 1, 2012. Nomination form and criteria will be posted February 15, 2012.
